The world of news publishing is rapidly changing, and metadata has and will play a significant role in this development. To keep helping customers and partners who are in front of digitalization and answer the high demand for digital services, we have made some exciting changes that we want to share!
We are happy to announce that we are implementing a new organizational structure and that we have carried out a directed share issue. Both of these will support our journey forward in a better way.
Starting on June 1st, 2021, Mari Ahlquist takes over as the new CEO, and John Bengtson assumes the position as COO. Christoffer Krona (former Nilsson) will continue as CTO and also be responsible for taking the sales and marketing department to the next level. Berkant Savas, our current CEO, will focus on business development and innovation, keeping a close relationship with academia. Berkant Savas will also continue as the chair of the Board of iMatrics.
The management team is looking forward to their new roles and responsibilities, as are all iMatrics employees who have been given more responsibilities in their current roles. Together we form a wonderful team dedicated to helping our partners and customers succeed!
iMatrics welcomes additional owners
The second news is that iMatrics has carried out a directed share issue that has generated new minority shareholders and equity. There are six new shareholders, and they are all either employees of iMatrics or board members.

The decision to bring in new shareholders is based on two main aspects, to benefit from the strong commitment in the company and to strengthen company finances for our continued journey. We are incredibly proud to have many stakeholders who believe in iMatrics and our fantastic team, and we all look forward to an exciting future.
